I would LOVE to do an exhibition. I am a foreigner in Spain, though, with a small child. I don’t know where I’d begin or how to find the time. Very useful tips! Glad it was a success!
Thank you so much. To be honest I’m not an expert when it comes to exhibitions, I just had the opportunity through my university. What do you think about my idea of just printing out your photos like you would do for an exhibition, hang them up in your apartment and just invite some friends? Of course it will not be the exact same and your work probably won’t be exposed to strangers, but it might be a good start. Just alone the process of selecting the photos and printing them is so much fun. I’m also trying to connect with local photographers or photo-collectives, but I guess it can be hard especially with a language barrier or a lack of time. Essentially I believe good scene-connections are key, but honestly that is said easier than done, but I’m sure if you keep looking for opportunities you can do it!
Unfortunately I don’t know anyone that has even a passing interest in photography here, but before I moved to Spain I had hung up a collection of photos from China in my old apartment and gifted them to my brother, thinking that he would put his own photos in the frames. Instead he chose to keep my photos - except for one of a huge spider, haha.
I should connect to the local photography community, if there is one. Worth a shot!
Uhh that sounds really cool. I gotta start hanging up my own photos in my room too! Yes, I definitely think it's worth it to connect to the local community, there will always be someone!

Let me know how it goes :)
Will do!
Yes, hanging up your photos that you’ve already printed will be a good start!
Will do!
